The Esperanza mine, in Olmos de Atapuerca, is an old iron mine that was in operation until the 70s.

Right now it is rehabilitated for tourism and allows you to enter it as the authentic miners did, with their helmet, defying the darkness

The visit is guided and lasts about an hour and a half. Inside you can visit a small mineral exhibition.

It is necessary to make a prior reservation, we can help you with that and see the availability of your visits on the dates you are staying in our area.

The meeting point is, 5-10 minutes before your reservation time, in front of the Olmos de Atapuerca church. There, the guide will group you and you will go in your car, following the guide, to the entrance that is approximately 1km away. It is an unpaved road but it can be circulated without problem with any type of vehicle
